Our founders, Chad Hornik and Jeff Ottaviano, became business partners in 2008. In 2017 they started Dover Hall Experiences at Dover Hall, a 55-acre estate in Manakin-Sabot.
A year later, they planted the vineyard with two grapes naturally suited to Central Virginia’s climate. Picked by hand, our first harvest in 2022 gave us our first two estate wines: our Cabernet Franc South Block and our Viognier.
